This project was a personal project to create a unique and meaningful tattoo design.
To begin the design process, I sketched two initial concepts. The first sketch depicted a sword with a crown on the hilt, facing down. The second sketch portrayed a sword facing up, with the crown floating near the top with the sword going through the crown. These sketches allowed me to explore different compositions and arrangements of the sword and crown elements. Based on the initial sketches, I selected the first concept for further development. I refined the sketch, paying attention to details such as the shape of the sword, the intricacies of the crown, and their positioning. This stage allowed me to establish a strong composition and create a balanced and visually appealing illustration.
After finalizing the composition, I proceeded to create the final illustration of the first sketch. The final artwork was created in black and white, emphasizing the contrast and intricacy of the design. This choice added a timeless and classic feel to the tattoo design, making it versatile and suitable for various tattoo styles.
